The first map posted below is a choroplethic map. In this map I show the population density of Michigan by persons per square mile. In my maps legend you can see the color coding for counties. It looks like the majority of Michigan's population is located in the lower peninsula. More specifically in the Southeastern section of the state surrounding Wayne County.
This second map below is a dot density map. This map also show the population of Michigan. As you can see in my map legend one dot is equal to two thousand people. Once again you can see the majority of the population is located in the southeastern section of the state surrounding Wayne County.
